WHY?

Congenital heart defects are abnormalities in the heart's structure that are present at birth. Approximately 8 out of every 1,000 newborns have congenital heart defects, ranging from mild to severe.

Congenital heart defects happen because of incomplete or abnormal development of the fetus' heart during the very early weeks of pregnancy. Some are known to be associated with genetic disorders, such as Down syndrome, but the cause of most congenital heart defects is unknown. While they can't be prevented, there are many treatments for the defects and any related health problems.

Every year doctors save thousands of lives thanks to groundbreaking research and innovative health initiatives. To do this they rely on the gnerosity of people like you to help continue their vital work.

WAMPP's vision, my vision is too raise money and give to CHD charities that support research and the families of the CHD child. Many others have lost a child like I have. I saw many children during my daughters fourteen years of life pass away from various heart disease, as well as my clients four year old daughter, just two years ago.

Losing a child is the hardest thing a parent should have to go through. We are not meant to out live our children. So either attend a WAMPP Festival and donate or give directly through our site.
